About us
Grieg New Energy invests in and develops innovative, renewable energy projects with a maritime angle. Our portfolio includes pioneering initiatives in green fuels, such as green hydrogen and ammonia, covering the entire supply chain from production to end-user.
We are looking to expand our portfolio further by entering into new partnerships and complementary segments. By developing the right projects through strategic partnerships, we aim to provide sustainable energy solutions that support the maritime industry’s journey towards decarbonization and achieving global climate goals.

Slagentangen in Tønsberg, located in the Oslofjord, aims to become an energy hub, providing green hydrogen and ammonia to maritime and industrial customers.

GreenH is a Norwegian project developer of green hydrogen production and supply for maritime and industrial use.
Eyder
Eyder aims to develop, own and operate a series of green ammonia bunkering and distribution vessels providing green fuels to the maritime industry.

Vidar Lundberg
Managing Director
Vidar Lundberg has more than 20 years of experience from Maritime Joint Ventures, New Energy Projects, Private Equity, Consulting and Real Estate. He has been responsible for establishing and leading strategic partnerships and developing project companies within Grieg. He holds several board member positions in various companies. Vidar holds a master’s degree in business & economics from BI Norwegian Business School with an entrepreneurship exchange program from Babson College in Boston

Martine Gripp Bay
Investment Manager
Martine has more than 8 years of work experience in energy and maritime industries. She has professional insight within naval architecture and passion for strategy and innovation, which have resulted in several international engagements and work experiences. From leading multinational and interdisciplinary energy projects, to building new tech startups. Martine has experience from management and board position, and competency with investments, business development and commercial roles, bringing new products to industrial markets, establishing and leading strategic partnerships and developing companies. She holds two MSc, Naval Architecture NTNU and Entrepreneurship, NTNU School of Entrepreneurship, with international academic engagements from University of Georgia, Boston University and Babson College.

Joakim Sejersted Bødtker
Investment Professional
Joakim is an experienced investment professional with a foundation in strategy and finance. With a background in management consulting at Arkwright, Joakim has led diverse projects across energy, maritime, and industrial sectors—ranging from transaction support to strategy development and post-merger integration. His work has supported private equity firms, infrastructure funds, and blue-chip companies in navigating complex investment decisions and operational challenges. Joakim holds an MSc in Applied Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School.
